Tom Biniek is chief financial officer at IPS, responsible for all financial reporting. He has been employed by IPS since 1993, and has served as CFO since 2002, building the accounting and finance department from the ground up and successfully implementing an enterprise accounting system. Tom brings 30 years of experience in accounting to his position. As CFO, Tom's accomplishments include designing and developing a financial reporting structure for IPS; supervising all accounting functions, developing the annual operating budget; and preparing and presenting the financial package to the Board of Directors.
Before IPS, Tom was a consultant for Accounting Solutions, where he provided accounting services to clients such as Fox & Carskadon, Visa International, and Lucky Stores of Northern California. He also served for seven years as controller/director of administration for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, supervising an annual operating budget of $9 million. In this role, Tom supervised accounting personnel at four office locations, prepared an annual budget for all offices and administered group benefit plans.
Additional experience includes serving as budget director for Western Medical Enterprises, a chain of 40 convalescent hospitals with a $65 million annual operating budget, and as staff accountant for Cappis & Hexberg, a San Francisco-based CPA firm.
Tom has a BSC in accounting from Santa Clara University.
