WHAT IS "LIVE" VIRTUAL?

IPS' blended learning approach includes "live" virtual course delivery, featuring:

  • Synchronous, real-time interaction among instructor and participants
  • Live, two-way voice communication via phone or VOIP
  • Platform-neutral, Web-based conferencing tools (Web Ex, Centra, Live Meeting, etc.)
  • Live, interactive virtual breakouts
  • Enhanced scheduling flexibility
  • Integrated MyCLASS® and Center of Excellence functionality, including resource access, shared workspace, peer-to-peer sharing, and social networking
  • Same PDU, CEU, and SAPM credits as classroom courses

Get a real-time classroom learning experience—including live interaction with your instructor and classmates—without leaving your desk!

IPS' latest generation of synchronous blended learning solutions use any of the latest Internet conferencing technologies (Web Ex, Centra, Live Meeting, etc.) and a phone or VOIP connection to deliver the same learning experience you would get in a classroom, but you can be anywhere in the world during the live class session.

You'll interact with your instructor and classmates in real time using conferencing tools such as chat, virtual breakout rooms, shared documents, interactive polls, screen annotation tools, and other interactive icons.

Your organization probably already uses these tools, so now you can leverage the associated skills to achieve your learning objectives—without the travel time and expense associated with traditional classroom sessions.

Instead of full eight-hour days in a classroom, courses are delivered in three- to five-hour sessions, allowing participants ample time to keep up with their ongoing responsibilities throughout the duration of the training. Plus, virtual courses can be scheduled for delivery in any time zone that is appropriate for the student group.

Benefits of Live Virtual Classes
IPS' live virtual course delivery provides the following advantages over traditional on-site classroom training:

  • Less work disruption—three to five hour sessions give participants time to keep up with their day-to-day work vs. full-day classroom sessions, a well as apply what they have learned immediately
  • No travel required—saves travel time and cost
  • Accommodates multiple time zones—provides flexibility to offer training to small or remote sites where on-site may not be practical
  • Participants join from home or office—actual physical location does not matter
  • Builds communities of practice across multiple locations—learning becomes embedded into the work process instead of an isolated event
